The Nations Rage | Psalm 2

Jun 21, 2026    Pastor Hayden Norris

In a world full of rage, chaos, and constant noise, we need to be reminded of one powerful truth: Jesus is King, and we are not.

This Father's Day, we explored Psalm 2 and confronted our tendency to rebel against God's authority while trying to control our own lives. The nations rage, rulers plot, and we personally struggle—but God sits on His throne and laughs. Not in mockery, but because He knows the end of the story. His Son, Jesus Christ, reigns supreme, and no election, no cultural shift, no personal crisis can change that.

The invitation is clear: stop climbing onto a throne that isn't yours. Instead, submit to the King who didn't come to be served, but to serve—dying for rebels like us. Our only refuge in this broken world is in Him. When we pray "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done," we're acknowledging that He's in control, not us.

What would change in your life if you truly believed Jesus is on the throne today?
