Pessimism or Praise? | Psalm 103

Do you spend more time focusing on what is wrong than on what God has done? Psalm 103 is a life-changing reminder that we were made for praise, not pessimism. David had to remind himself over and over again to bless the Lord, and so do we.

The benefits are staggering. Every sin forgiven. Every transgression removed as far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12). A God who is merciful, gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love.

We do not bless the Lord enough because we focus on the wrong things and forget the God things. This week, start counting the benefits. Name them one by one. The whole universe is already praising Him. Get in on it.
