Praying with Honesty, Wisdom, and Grace | Psalm 109

What do you do when someone you trusted deeply betrays you? This week we dove into Psalm 109, one of the Bible's most raw and honest prayers, where David cries out to God after being wounded by someone he only showed love to.

The hard truth? The New Testament calls us to something radically different than revenge. Jesus, Paul, Peter, and James all point us in the same direction: forgive as you have been forgiven, and let God handle justice. That does not mean being a doormat. It means trusting that God sees what you see, and more.

Here is the freedom in all of this: you can be completely honest with God about your pain, your anger, and what you want done. He can take it. But the goal is to be more like Jesus when he prayed: "Not my will, but Father, your will be done."
