Will You Judge God? | Psalm 58

Jan 11, 2026    Pastor Hayden Norris

Ever look around and wonder if evil is getting the upper hand?

Psalm 58 speaks right into that tension: don’t confuse God’s patience with permission.

David dares to pray the prayer we’re often afraid to say out loud: “God, will You do something about the wickedness I see?” And Scripture reminds us—He already is. God is not anxious, not surprised, not losing control. He reigns from His throne, steady and sure.

The scoreboard may look tilted for now, but God’s justice is real and it’s coming. And here’s the grace-filled twist: though we were once counted among the wicked, “while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Through Jesus, reconciliation is possible.

So this week, hold fast to this hope: what you see isn’t the whole story. God is at work on His timeline, not ours. The righteous shall live by faith.
