Christ is Home | Home with God

How is it possible for a holy God to dwell with sinful people? This Sunday, we explored one of the most profound truths of the Gospel: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... The Word became flesh and dwelt among us" (John 1).

Home with God isn't a place... it's a person. Jesus didn't just come to live among us; He perfectly fulfilled the law we could never keep, and He died the death we deserved. The curtain in the temple was torn from top to bottom, showing us that God Himself removed the separation between us and Him.

The Gospel isn't "do more, try harder." The Gospel is "It is finished." Jesus lived the perfect life you couldn't live and took the punishment you deserved. That's grace. That's home.
