Homeless People? | Selected OT

Ever feel like you're trying to reach God on your own strength? Moses discovered at the burning bush what we all must learn: God is holy, and we are not. Yet here's the stunning truth—God doesn't abandon us in our unholiness.

From Eden to Egypt, the Old Testament tells one consistent story: God rescuing His children from one bad decision after another. He promised Abraham, freed Israel from slavery, and gave them a place to meet with Him—not because they earned it, but because He is faithful. Moses couldn't even look at God's face and live, yet God still said, "My presence will go with you."

Here's what changes everything: We don't need the benefits of Egypt. We need Eden. We don't just need God's blessings—we need God Himself. The tabernacle, the temple, the sacrifices—they all pointed to one truth: there must be a way for unholy people to be with a holy God.
