Associate Pastor for Church Life and Discipleship

We are a multi-generational evangelical Bible church of about 400 attenders in Omaha, NE, known for solid Biblical teaching, for joyful Word-centered worship, for strong commitment to discipleship and global missions, for being a caring community where members support and pray for each other, and for ministries across the spectrum to men, women, and children.

We are seeking an elder-qualified individual to fulfill the dual role of Associate Pastor for Church Life and Discipleship. He will provide skilled leadership and oversight under the authority of the Lead pastor and a congregationally-affirmed board of elders and will work together to delegate responsibilities as appropriate.

Qualifications

A godly man who demonstrates the fruit of the Spirit and a personal walk with God
A diligent student of the Word of God
Elder-qualified (1 Timothy 3:1-13; 2 Timothy 2; Titus 1:5-9)
Demonstrates his calling to pastoral ministry
Agrees fully with Crosspoint’s doctrinal statement, position papers and governance documents
Supports the core values and current ministry philosophies of Crosspoint Bible Church
Gifted in and committed to expository preaching
A servant leader who values and encourages teammates
A humble man who submits to authority and models accountability
Connects well with people
Experienced in team-building, mentoring, and spiritual formation
Preferably, a graduate from a reputable evangelical seminary
Preferably, at least 3-5 years’ experience in local church ministry (in a multi-staff context, desirable)
