When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.
Adam – working, leading, caring for, protecting
Eve – helping, supporting, nurturing
Ignoring God’s blueprint sets us up for failure.
The Failure = Forbidden Fruit:
- Seems satisfying.
- Looks really attractive.
- Promises reward.
- Comes with a heavy price.
- Insecurity / Lust
- Separation from God
- Desire for dominance
- Pain and suffering / Death
God doesn’t forbid the fruit that’s good for us.

But the harvest is rich unto those who patiently and tenderly care for the ground”
